Check the saved starting point
Open the correct thread and current step. Drafting uses saved work and your explicitly selected profile and governance sources. Unsaved text waiting in the result editor is not included. Check Preferences and the selected persona before requesting a draft.
Request a draft
Select Ask Soval for a draft. The request sends saved material to the configured AI provider and uses the Soval drafting allowance. You can always continue by writing your own response.
Review the suggestion
Open the saved suggestion. Check facts, assumptions, constraints, and whether it answers the task. A successful generation does not establish accuracy.
Keep your chosen result
Use Use this draft when available. Review any replacement prompt if you have unsaved text, edit the result, then choose Keep & continue.
When a draft does not finish
A partial suggestion can remain visible with an incomplete label. A pending or unknown result should be checked with Reload saved work; do not repeatedly request another draft.
Use Try draft again only when offered. If the allowance is used, continue in your own words or retry another day. If the message says the AI connection needs attention, contact the owner.
